once upon a time, there was a poofy-head asparagus.

i'm just wondering why everyone always tries to fit in with "the popular crowd".

ok *tee hee* i plead guilty as well. :P

is it because they're fun? or particularly caring?

well, okay, sometimes....but usually not. How do you define "popular" anyway?

the oxford dictionary :
well-liked by many.
the teen dictionary :
the 3 Es = the elite. the envied. the elevated.

Mostly they're just people who've managed to find a bigger group of friends than other little cliques, i guess. But what we often forget is that they're all private individuals, with a character of their own. They're not higher-ranking or whatever.

(higher ranking? erm, couldn't find a better word.)

They're usually stereotyped as *bitches, bimbos or sluts*. But every single one of them is different. Not every one of "the populars" is a bitch, bimbo, or slut. We just need to know them as people special in their own way, and less as "the elite group".

That way, they become more human and less elevated, i guess. It's amazing how different someone is if you just get to know them, and not just blindly follow public opinion. Everyone has their own different character, personality and needs.

Different does not mean better, or higher/lower rank.
Different is good.

Just be grateful for one's present friends. Don't desperately try to follow the elite group till you ignore your true friendships.

*oh no. i have this huge craving to watch John Tucker Must Die. right now.
