i'll bring you cloud-sighting one day.
Was just asking TJ yesterday, "hey TJ, what do you do when you're crushing badly and you really, really wanna get rid of it?"
After a few huhs? and after that 1 or 2 hmms....his answer was
"Pray. Ask for help."
I was like, wow. The best answer I've heard so far, and the only one of its kind.
Why is the Lord always our last resort? Or sometimes even beyond last resort. Isn't it amazing that whenever we have a problem, we appeal to anyone and everyone around us with the least bit of capability, hoping they can offer us a solution.
And yet, somehow, we always neglect the only one who can really, really help.
Just imagine you're flailing around, desperately fighting for your life in a rapid-flowing river and people are throwing out ropes and floats and whatnot for you to catch. You desperately grab at every single one, missing every time, painfully aware that you're not far from the waterfall. Die. Die. Die.
And yet, you stubbornly ignore the guy who throws out the longest rope, the one with the best chance of saving your life. Perhaps, eventually, you give him a brief glimpse at the end of the day, or sometimes you just keep ignoring him, till you drown.
I know this is a weird analogy *smiles* but it was the first one to present itself to my mind, okay.
